This Privacy Policy describes how TripTin ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TripTin mobile and web application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your name (as provided via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In)
- A profile photo (if provided by your Google or Apple account)
Trip Data
TripTin stores the trip planning information you enter, including:
- Trip names, dates, and destinations
- Flight, accommodation, car rental, activity, and transit details
- Notes and other content you create within the App
Usage Information
We do not collect analytics or behavioral tracking data beyond what Firebase provides by default for app stability and crash reporting.
Support & Feedback Submissions
When you submit a Support & Feedback request in the app, we attach a diagnostic bundle unless you uncheck "Attach diagnostics" on the form. The bundle includes your app version, platform, the name of the screen you were on, your internal Firebase Auth user ID (not your email or password), and the last ~100 lines of the in-app log buffer — developer-authored runtime messages and error stack traces generated as the app runs. It does not include the content of fields you've typed into, booking or confirmation codes, or any payment information. (If in-app purchases are ever added, card details are processed by Apple, Google, or a payment gateway directly and never exposed to TripTin's code, so they cannot appear in the log buffer.) When you enable "Attach this screenshot," the current screen is sent along with the request; otherwise no screen content leaves your device.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

TripTin uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage
- Google Sign-In — Optional authentication method
- Apple Sign-In — Optional authentication method
- Google Maps & Places API — Location search and map display

When you use TripTin, some of your data is processed by the third-party services listed above. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google (Firebase & Cloud Services)
- Apple (Sign in with Apple)
- Google Maps Platform terms / Google privacy policy
We recommend reviewing their privacy practices. Your use of TripTin constitutes acceptance that data may be processed by these services in accordance with their terms.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase's secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures including authentication and access controls. Only you can access your trip data.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
6. Children's Privacy
TripTin is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
